What you pay — and what you own.
In essence, the price comes together from three components: licence fees for the proven building blocks, daily rates for custom features and adjustments, and usage fees for the AI — either token-based or as a fixed amount for dedicated infrastructure. And regardless of all that: your data, your developments and your business logic belong to you.
Three components
Depending on the solution we combine them differently — some are one-off, some ongoing, some only as needed.
- Licence fees
- Our building blocks are proven across many use cases and ready to deploy right away. Using them carries a licence or software-usage fee. In return, we keep developing them and swap the underlying AI models for newer, better ones.
- Daily rates
- On top of the building blocks we build your custom software — the features that map exactly onto your business processes. We usually bill the initial setup at a fixed price and further development by daily rate. The software code that results belongs to you in the end.
- Usage fees
- Running the AI models incurs costs in the background. How they're billed depends on the operating model you choose:
- Token-based
With third-party models or shared infrastructure you pay for actual usage.
- Fixed for dedicated infrastructure
On request we provide dedicated hardware for a fixed monthly amount — predictable and suited to strict privacy requirements.
Usage-based or predictably fixed.
Running the AI models incurs costs — how they're billed depends on the model. You choose what fits your load profile and your data-protection requirements.

We build custom software on top of our building blocks. What makes up the interchangeable platform foundation stays with us. Everything that creates your individual advantage belongs entirely to you.
- Stays with us — licensed
- The PIKO platform code belongs to us and is licensed for use
- These are interchangeable APIs — parsing a document, for example
- Technically demanding, but in substance readily interchangeable
- What we build for your competitive edge, we don't share — it's far too specific to you anyway
- 100 % yours
- Your data — always and in full
- All the custom features developed for you and their code
- Your own business logic describing your core business processes

You stay in control at all times.
Two contractual mechanisms make sure you keep full control of your solution even in a worst-case scenario.
- Source-code escrow
- A legal arrangement ensures that, should we become insolvent, the complete code — including our PIKO building blocks — is disclosed and handed over to the client. You are never dependent on our continued existence.
- Purchase option on the PIKO part
- You can buy out our licensed PIKO part at any time for a contractually agreed sum, for your own non-transferable use. So you could decide at any point to keep running the platform yourself.
